                 LOST THE MISS CALLS

March 10 we entered in our hope of dreams, initiation of our 10th standard. On the very first class we were given a form to fill our expected marks in the board examination. We were BINDAAS kind of students and did same with the form.

On our first class, Mr. D. Pandey (Math teacher) appeared. He was a new teacher in our school and we started with introduction. He said, "It’s a year left for your board examination. Isn't it?" Yes, we answered. Its 364 days to look the sunshine of March 1(Our first board paper). Then he said so now sum up 48 Saturdays of the year, 40 days for dashain and tihar, 30 days for internal examination, 30 days for board preparation and 30 days for bandhs and then subtract it from 364 days. Now, what you are left with is.........186 days. So, never think that there is a year left but take your pen and start your work.

We all were ready with our completed assignments with the best possible handwriting during those initial days. Time moved so we did. We entered classes with incomplete assignments. Actually, we all had forgot the lecture of our first class. We were never eager to know what we will be taught in tomorrow's class but in what is the next change at theater or who won the yesterdays match. Is it Manchester? Shit, I lost the bet! "Better luck next time" said my friend.

We were sent to JAWLAKHEL ZOO for an educational visit. We were asked by our teacher to study the scientific names, habit, habitat and other activities of the animals and make a project work. What we did? We went for boating, clicking snaps and having momos.  I think no one would have forget the sight when "abin" was struggling to swim in the pond. Next day when our teacher asked to submit the project we were empty handed form the zoo so asked for some more time. Somehow we completed our project taking help from net and sharing notes.

We also went to BOTANICAL GARDEN for an educational visit but again we did the same. It was awesome to have rains along with those creepy insects which were supposed to clean our blood that day. We enjoyed it a lot. Next day, guess what? Everyone was absent not for the project work but because of the cold.

Seven months passed and it was time for Dashain and Tihar vacation. We started a new trend in our friendship. We started giving miss calls to each other, any time any hour and it is still working with us if the numbers are not changed. We considered it as a sign of remembrance. A day before I left my cell phone and when I checked late in the evening, I found 54(precisely) missed calls. Missed calls had become an element of  bond in our friendship.

Apart from all the fun, I know we all were dedicated to our studies , our "best results" is a proof and our teachers too, who mention out names to new batches and say learn from them.

Days, months and the whole year went. We appeared for the board examination. But still all the moments are fresh for us. Basnet sir's "QUIZ CLASS", Jha sir's "ABHI TOH TUM BACHHE HO" also his unforgettable gufs, Pandey sir's "AYEEE HALOOO", Bio madam's "AYEE DONKEEEEYS" all this dialogues are still memorable for us.

Results were published and we were all happy with our effort. Then everyone had their own plans. Some joined H.S.E.B colleges, some joined DAV while some MIS. We all shattered within a month.

Now it’s about seven months we have passed our tenth and those miss calls are no more. We have no more close contacts. It’s like you come to know about someone from someone.

GOD knows what the next in our life. Friends of RAI (Batch 2010-2011) I Really miss you all.
